A Carpenter’s View is part of Carpenter Ministries, Inc., an approved and fully organized 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating in the state of Virginia. Carpenter Ministries, Inc. is formed to evangelize those outside of Christian belief, to enhance knowledge of the Tenets of the Faith, to help provide clear understanding of God’s Holy Scriptures from a premillennial and dispensational perspective, and to support the work of Christian missions, including Sons of Thunder Ministries in Zambia and others.
Ron Carpenter has been teaching the Bible in various roles for 28 years and is dedicated to building up the church. He is currently a student at Dallas Theological Seminary working on his Master of Biblical and Theological Studies. Having served as an elder in four different churches he has been devoted to youth ministry, evangelism and missions. He has also served as a treasurer and a deacon, but his favored and most comfortable setting is in a Bible study or Sunday school.
He believes in the literal interpretation of Scripture and is a dispensationalist looking for the pretribulational, premillennial return of Jesus Christ. As an avid student of the Bible he also has interests in the 2nd Temple era, early Church history and prophecy. He sees both the Old and New Testaments in beautiful and resplendent harmony and subscribes to the ancient adage attributed to Augustine that, “the New Testament lies concealed in the Old, and the Old Testament lies revealed in the New.”
Four years ago the Lord called him to go on a mission trip to teach in Zambia. Having fallen in love with the Zambian people, Ron is now part of the ministry family at Sons of Thunder Ministries headquartered in Damascus, MD and is a frequent visitor to the Sons of Thunder Farm outside of Senkobo. Ron does not receive any compensation from Sons of Thunder however he continues support their ministry on this blog.
